Hair Mesotherapy
Androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive miniaturization of hair follicles on the scalp at any time after puberty, resulting from an excessive response to androgens (male hormones). Although it is called ‘Male Pattern Hair Loss’, it is seen in both men and women. In men, hair loss is more pronounced in the front, crown and side areas, while in women, the front hairline is typically preserved. It causes psychological stress because it is more easily and frequently seen in men. It is the most common type of scarless alopecia in men.
Mesotherapy is a Greek word meaning to treat (therapy) the middle layer of the skin (mesoderm). It involves microinjections of multiple conventional drugs, vitamins, pharmaceuticals and other ingredients into the mesoderm via syringe and needle.
There are basically four drugs that have been shown to prevent hair loss and protect existing hair by thickening it with mesotherapy. These are;
Dutasterid(antiandrojenik)
Minoksidil(antihipertansif)
Biotin(vitamin)
D-panthenol(vitamin)
The administration of these drugs directly into the scalp with mesotherapy both increases their effectiveness and prevents the occurrence of systemic side effects that may occur with oral intake. In many studies, when these drugs are administered in appropriate doses, a significant improvement in the complaints of 60-70% of patients suffering from androgenetic alopecia is observed.
