Skin Health

Those interested in aesthetic treatments, laser procedures, and chemical peels eventually stumble upon a treatment called HydraFacial MD. The device used in this treatment is a relatively new device that aims to achieve similar results to microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing. For example, while lasers work by targeting the destruction of skin cells and stimulating the body’s repair processes, HydraFacial treatments aim to achieve superior results through gentle, liquid-based exfoliation and exfoliation. Additionally, this treatment nourishes and protects the skin with powerful ingredients to enhance its long-term health.

What kind of application is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is designed to cleanse skin while simultaneously brightening it. Some treatments are similar to microdermabrasion.

To understand how this treatment works, you need to understand that there are several different steps to the process, each with its own and unique purpose.

Vortex Cleansing and Hydrapeel Exfoliation: The first step of the HydraFacial is designed to remove dead cells from the skin’s surface through water-based exfoliation. Also, the benefit of this first step is the removal of sebum. It is important to note that this sebum can otherwise act as a glue for small particles, preventing the penetration of skincare ingredients and increasing pore blockage.
Pore Unclogging: The second step of the HydraFacial is to infuse the pores with a mild blend of salicylic and glycolic acids. These are the ingredients used for pore cleansing and are often found in anti-acne skincare products due to their ability to loosen pore plugs that cause inflammatory acne.
Pore Extraction: During this step, loosened pore plugs and dirt are removed by the vortex cleansing action of the HydraFacial applicator, which immediately sucks out dirt and other particles. This step is to provide a deep cleansing of the skin, prevent future acne, and increase the penetration of skin care ingredients.
Serum Fusion: The final step involves infusing the skin with peptides, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid. These ingredients restore skin health in a variety of ways. For example, antioxidants provide the building blocks for skin cell structure, while peptides help repair skin damage. Additionally, hyaluronic acid draws moisture to the treatment area in a short time, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Additional Hydrafacial Treatments

The device can be adjusted to deliver growth factors to the skin to reduce wrinkles and increase the growth of healthy cells. Depending on the patient's needs, other changes to the treatment plan may be made.

HydraFacial Side Effects

HydraFacial does not cause significant side effects for most patients. Unlike laser technology, this machine does not damage skin cells.
