BUTT LİFT

An attractive hip cannot be evaluated alone, it should be evaluated according to its ratio with the waist. For men in the world, there are 2 conditions for a woman’s buttocks to look attractive. Slim waist and full hips. Here, the ideal ratio is 0.7. In other words, this ratio should be between the circumference at the thinnest part of the waist and the circumference at the widest part of the hip.

There are 4 components that determine the hip shape;

  • • Hip muscle (gluteus muscle)
  • • Structure of the hip bone
  • • The amount and distribution of adipose tissue in the hip region
  • • Skin quality

The most important factor affecting the appearance of the hips in women is the thickness and distribution of adipose tissue. Adipose tissue is normally responsible for 50-60% of hip volume. An unfeminine, dry and masculine buttocks appearance occurs due to the serious decrease in adipose tissue in women who diet together with excessive exercise. The decrease in skin tightness and sagging, especially after excessive weight loss, seriously impairs the appearance of the hips.

Hip shaping surgery is not just to make the hip bigger, it is a hip shaping and reshaping surgery. In this sense, the patient with wide hips but a problem in fat distribution, and the patient with small hips are candidates for hip aesthetics. The question here is which method will be applied to which hip.

Basically, there are 3 methods in hip shaping.

  • • Liposuction
  • • Liposuction+Fat injection
  • • Shaping with hip implants

Here, we have some subjective criteria to determine the method of hip shaping. We can classify hip shape into four different sizes according to body mass index (BMI). Small(BMI<20), medium(BMI 21-27), large(BMI 28-31) and very large(BMI>32).Body mass index is obtained by dividing your body weight by the square of your height. For our patients with a BMI below 20, the most appropriate method is shaping with an implant, since there is usually not enough fat tissue in the body. Since there is excess fat tissue in patients with a BMI above 28, the most appropriate method is shaping with liposuction + fat injection. The method to be chosen in patients with a BMI of 20-28 is determined according to the patient’s request and the result of the examination.

The ideal patient type to be shaped with hip implants is a young, athletic patient with little or no hip sagging and also who have not transferable fat tissue.

Candidates for a butt lift procedure with fat transfer should be healthy individuals with no underlying medical conditions and also have realistic expectations. Butt Lift is typically performed under general anesthesia to ensure you do not feel any pain during the procedure. Any discomfort or pain you may feel can be lessened with prescription pain medication.

After Butt lift, patients will find it necessary to wear supportive clothing for an average of eight-weeks. The most important part of the Butt lift recovery is preserving the injected fat. This requires up to 4 weeks of not sitting directly on your buttocks. Sitting on the buttocks will kill the transferred fat cells and cause poor results. If you absolutely have to sit, use a special pillow to relieve as much pressure as possible from the surgical site along with 8 weeks.

The patients should not exercise for two weeks after that, light exercise can be done. Four weeks after the surgery the patients can start intense exercise. Most patients see full results after about two to three months, when all the swelling has gone down and you are back to your normal routine.
